Loft Clearance Muswell Hill

This loft clearance project was carried out in Muswell Hill, close to Hampstead, after the homeowner contacted us to clear a loft that had become inaccessible to her husband due to serious health issues. As he was no longer able to safely access the loft, the family decided it was time to completely clear the space.

The loft contained a large quantity of stored items accumulated over many years, including old computers, magazines, video tapes, and numerous boxes. While the volume of contents was significant, the biggest challenge of the project was the access. Unlike a typical loft hatch located in the ceiling, this property featured a hatch positioned within a wall directly above the staircase, creating a very restricted working area and making the removal of bulky items particularly difficult.

The client was preparing the entire property for redecoration and painting, so it was essential that the clearance work was completed without causing dust, marks, or damage to the surrounding areas. Our team carefully protected the access route and removed all contents with great care, ensuring the house remained clean throughout the process.

Despite the difficult access conditions, the entire loft was cleared within eight hours. All unwanted items were removed, and the loft was left empty, clean, and ready for future use. Most importantly, the project was completed without any mess or disruption, allowing the planned decorating work to proceed immediately afterwards.
